God has called us into His Eternal Glory

Hebrews 2:10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in leading many sons into glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, He who has called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and ground you.

1 Thessalonians 2:12 So that you might walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Additional references:  Rom. 3:23, 8:30, Eph. 3:21, Rev. 21:9-10, 11

God has called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus!  Here it or anywhere in the bible for that matter does it mention calling us into or going to heaven.  Rather it clearly reveals that we have been called into God’s eternal glory in Christ Jesus. He has called us into his own kingdom and glory.  In Hebrews it even says that he is leading many sons into glory!  Glory is the expression of God himself.  Christians have been duped for centuries thinking that “going to heaven is the destination or goal of the christian life and we just kind of wait around.  This is quite a false teaching and deception.  The goal of our salvation is glorification.  Praise the Lord for his glory and the many sons of God!

We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous;

2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for those of the whole world.

Have you sinned yet today? It’s not a matter of if but of when.  Don’t worry you have an advocate with the Father! We not only have a wonderful provision for our sins (the blood of Christ) but we have what the bible calls our Advocate.  A wonderful person to plead our case before God.  Here the Advocate is our legal help, attorney, one called to assist us in our affairs.   We have a spiritual Attorney! Jesus Christ the Righteous!  He is pleading our case right now before God.  Even before you sin he is interceding on your behalf according to his redemption to the Father.  Splendid!

The Spirit of God and the Kingdom

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?

5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born anew.

Matthew 12:28 But if I, by the Spirit of God, cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

They’re are many men of this world who in their ambitions have aspired to have a kingdom over all the earth.  Only a few of them came close to their desires to have an earthly kingdom.  Men desire power, authority, money, possesions or material wealth.  However, the bible speaks of another kingdom.  And that is the kingdom of God! This kingdom is absolutely of the Spirit of God!  An immaterial kingdom that we are born into at the time of regeneration (John 3:3-7).  When we believed into Christ and were baptized we were  actually born of the Spirit and entered into the kingdom of God!  We were born into it!  Splendid!  When the Lord Jesus was casting out demons he did so by the Spirit of God.  When this happened the kingdom was there in power.
There is much to say concerning the kingdom of God.  Until the next time, enjoy the kingdom.

Abraham’s seed

Galatians 3:7 Know then that they who are of faith, these are sons of Abraham.

Galatians 3:16 But to Abraham were the promises spoken and to his seed. He does not say, “And to the seeds,” as concerning many, but as concerning one: “And to your seed,” who is Christ.

Galatians 3:29 And if you are of Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.

There is only one seed.  And the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed.  Christ is the seed and we are Abraham’s seed by virtue of being joined to Christ!

We were born into the Kingdom of God

1 But there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the JEWS.

2 This one came to Him by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.

3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

We have been born into the kingdom of God through baptism and the Spirit.  This is not a particular kind of baptism.  We have been born of the water and the Spirit.  And through such we have entered into the Kingdom of God. When we think kingdom, we should think life.   Just like the animal kingdom, or the vegetable kingdom.  To enter a particular kingdom you need a particular life.  We have been born of Spirit and have entered into the Kingdom of God!

Sweeet!

Another Life: Sons of the Most High

Luke 6:27-31 But to you who hear I say, Love your enemies; do well to those who hate you; Bless those who curse you; pray for those who revile you.  To him who beats you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.  To everyone who asks of you, give; and from him who takes away your things, do not require their return.  And just as you want men to do to you, do to them likewise.

Luke 6:34-36 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what thanks is it to you? Even sinners lend to sinners that they may get back the equal amount.  But love your enemies, and do good and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the unthankful and evil.  Be full of compassion, even as your Father also is full of compassion.

We may see these requirements of the Lord as daunting. Yet fail to realize one thing.  That we are sons of the most high!  This is a matter of life.  Indicating that the requirements are met by another life.  Not our natural human life, but with the life of God!  The life that has made us sons of God!

Regeneration

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been manifested what we will be. We know that if He is manifested, we will be like Him because we will see Him even as He is.

Regeneration is the addition of another life after we have believed into Christ, received him and been born of God.  Splendid!

Children of God

John 1:12-13  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, Who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Galatians 3:26  For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

When you receive Him, the eternal life, you become a child of God!  With his life and his nature!
