Jesus the Real Bread

John 6:32 Jesus therefore said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread out of heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.

33 For the bread of God is He who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

34 They said therefore to Him, Lord, give us this bread always.

35 Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means ever thirst.

Jesus is the real bread! The Bread of Life that gives life to the world!  What do you do with bread?  Argue over it?  Debate?  NO!  You EAT IT!  Enjoy Christ as the real bread today!

SPECIAL EDITION: The Believers Experience of the Two Aspects of the One Spirit

John 20:21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be to you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.

John 20:22 And when He had said this, He breathed into them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.

Luke 24:49 And behold, I send forth the promise of My Father upon you; but as for you, stay in the city until you put on power from on high.

Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:1 And as the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled, they were all together in the same place.

2 And suddenly there was a sound out of heaven, as of a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which were distributed; and it sat on each one of them;

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.

32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.

When the Lord Jesus was physically on the earth he had promised the coming of the Holy Spirit to his disciples (maybe I’ll write about this in another post).  Then shortly after Jesus rose from the dead he appeared to his disciples and he breathed into them and said receive the Holy Spirit.  At this point they had received the Holy Spirit into them for their experience of Christ as life essentially.  The Lord promised the Spirit to be poured out  upon them that would baptize/immerse them for their ministry, their work.  This is the Spirit of Power.   These are two aspects of the one Spirit!  The Spirit of life essentially for our living and the Spirit of power upon us for our ministry.  Lastly, the Spirit of power is not upon any individual or person independent of God or more importantly individualistic of the Body of Christ.  For this Spirit was poured out, and is upon the entire Body of Christ!  So we have to right with God and absolutely right with the members of the Body of Christ which is composed of every genuine believer on the planet!

The Lord Jesus Christ experienced two aspects of the Holy Spirit

Matthew 1:20 But while he pondered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife, for that which has been begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore also the holy thing which is born will be called the Son of God.

Luke 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form as a dove upon Him. And a voice came out of heaven: You are My Son, the Beloved; in You I have found My delight.

Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And reports about Him went out through all the surrounding region.
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to announce the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away in release those who are oppressed,
The Lord Jesus from his birth had the Holy Spirit within him essentially for his life and living. His source within was the Holy Spirit.  Then at the time of his baptism he was anointed with the Holy Spirit upon him for his ministry.  These are two aspects of the one Spirit.  One is for life essentially and the other is for work, ministry, of power.

The Lord’s Second Coming according to 1 Thessalonians

1 Thessalonians 1:10 And await His Son from the heavens, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath which is coming.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 Therefore we wanted to come to you, indeed I Paul, both once and again, yet Satan hindered us.

19 For what is our hope or joy or crown of cboasting before our Lord Jesus at His coming? Are not even you?

20 For you are our glory and joy.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.

The Lord is coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is evident from the book of Thessalonians.   This Church had only existed for 3 weeks and was raised up the apostle Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy.  And they spoke to them concerning the Lord’s second coming.  Wow.  What a topic.

Your faith has healed you

Matthew 9:18  As He was speaking these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshipped Him, saying, My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.

19 And Jesus rose and followed him, and so did His disciples.

20 And behold, a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years approached from behind and touched the fringe of His garment,

21 For she said within herself, If only I touch His garment, I will be healed.

22 And Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, Take courage, daughter; your faith has healed you. And the woman was healed from that hour.

23 And when Jesus came to the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion,

24 He said, Depart, for the girl has not died but is sleeping. And they laughed scornfully at Him.

25 But when the crowd had been put out, He entered and took hold of her hand, and the girl rose up.

26 And this report went out into all that land.

Here is a woman who had been suffering for twelves years who heard about the Lord Jesus Christ.  But what touches me about this woman is that she not only heard something objective about the Lord but she believed if she touched him she would be healed.  This is a true believer.  She heard the facts, yes.  But she sought the Lord out in the midst of a huge crowd just to touch the fringe of his garment!  Wow.  She was seeking to touch him.  And the Lord’s response is quite lovely.  He turns and says to her ” your faith has healed you” .  “Your faith”.  He didn’t say I have healed you.  Nor did he say “the faith has healed you”, but “your faith” has healed you.  After we’ve heard the facts, seek the Lord, have some time with him, the faith become “our faith”.  My faith, your faith.  We all need to have a personal touch with the Lord everyday.  Some personal contact with him through the word and prayer. Thank you Lord!

Being Nourished With the Words of the Faith

1 Peter 2:1 Therefore putting away all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evil speakings,

2 As newborn babes, long for the guileless milk of the word in order that by it you may grow unto salvation,

3 If you have tasted that the Lord is good.

1 Timothy 4:6 If you lay these things before the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, being nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which you have closely followed.

Thank the Lord for his Word.  It is milk that we need to grow unto salvation in Christ Jesus.  It is also the nourishment that we need to be healthy.  Without the Word of God the earth would be a terrible place.  There would be no light, no revelation, and no nourishment.  This is not just reading it like a newspaper article or college textbook.  The essence of the Word is spirit and life (John 6:63, 2 Tim. 3:16).  When we come to the Lord by faith in prayer simultaneously while we read the Word will become food, milk to us, and we will be nourished with the words of the faith!
