The Son of God is simply awesome

Hebrews 1:1 God, having spoken of old in many portions and in many ways to the fathers in the prophets,

2 Has at the last of these days spoken to us in the Son, whom He appointed Heir of all things, through whom also He made the universe;

8 But of the Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

10 And, “You in the beginning, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Your hands;

11 They will perish, but You remain perpetually; and they all will become old like a garment,

12 And like a mantle You will roll them up; like a garment they will also be changed; but You are the same, and Your years will not fail.”

Wonderful news!  The Son of God is God himself.  The  very universe was made through the Son, and at the beginning of time he laid the foundation of earth and the heavens are the works of his hands all of which will perish except the Son who remains the same!   Simply awesome.

We Need Much Revelation Concerning the Son of God

Matthew 16:13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that the Son of Man is?

14 And they said, Some, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.

15 He said to them, But you, who do you say that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens.

Matthew 11:26 Yes, Father, for thus it has been well-pleasing in Your sight.

27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and him to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

Galatians 1:15  But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,

16 To reveal His Son in me that I might announce Him as the gospel among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

We need much revelation from the Father to see, enjoy, and fully appreciate the Son of God!  We must pray, Father reveal your Son in me today!

Christ and the Church A Wonderful Couple

Ephesians 5:31 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.

32 This mystery is great, but I speak with regard to Christ and the church.

Marriage is a wonderful thing but its just a shadow of the reality.  The reality is Christ and the Church!

This line will be continued tomorrow…

The Son of God is God reaching Us

Hebrews 1:2  Has at the last of these days spoken to us in the Son, whom He appointed Heir of all things, through whom also He made the universe;

3 Who, being the effulgence of His glory and the impress of His substance and upholding and bearing all things by the word of His power, having made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

1 John 1:5  And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

God is light!  And the Son of God is the effulgence of His glory.  Just as the rays of the sun reach us, so also the Son is also the reaching of God to us.  The Son is God reaching us, to infuse us with God!

The Revelation of the Son of God

Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens.

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,

16 To reveal His Son in me that I might announce Him as the gospel among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

After the Lord took his disciples far away from Jerusalem from it religious influence he asked them a question.  Who do men say that I am?  Some said Elijah or one of the prophets.  He then asked them, but you who do you say that I am?  Peter answered in Matthew 16:16 that he was the Christ, the Son of the living God!  Wow.  This was an objective revelation to Peter from the Father.  But in Galatians 1 after Paul had been converted to Christ, believed into and received Christ said something quite striking.  He mentions that God would reveal the Son not to him, but in him.  After we have received the Lord within us we need subjective revelation.

The Son of God revealed in us

Galatians 1:15  But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,

16 To reveal His Son in me that I might announce Him as the gospel among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

When we believe into Christ he comes into the deepest part of our being, “our spirit”.  But many times we don’t know that the Lord is there.  We need the Son to be revealed not to us but in us.  If he were merely revealed to us that would mean that we are still separate from him.  But because we are one with him he can be revealed in us!  Whew hew!!!
