Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,

After the Lord took his disciples far away from Jerusalem from it religious influence he asked them a question. Who do men say that I am? Some said Elijah or one of the prophets. He then asked them, but you who do you say that I am? Peter answered in Matthew 16:16 that he was the Christ, the Son of the living God! Wow. This was an objective revelation to Peter from the Father. But in Galatians 1 after Paul had been converted to Christ, believed into and received Christ said something quite striking. He mentions that God would reveal the Son not to him, but in him. After we have received the Lord within us we need subjective revelation.
