Your Sins have been Purified and Taken away

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Hebrews 1:3 Who, being the effulgence of His glory and the impress of His substance and upholding and bearing all things by the word of His power, having made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

11 But Christ, having come as a High Priest of the good things that have come into being, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not of this creation,

12 And not through the blood of goats and calves but through His own blood, entered once for all into the Holy of Holies, obtaining an eternal redemption.

13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who are defiled sanctify to the purity of the flesh,

14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

 

The Awesome redemption of Christ is that he has purified our sins.  This means that he has washed our sins away.  This he did once and for all when he was crucified, shedding his own blood, offering himself up to God through the eternal Spirit ! This is why John the baptist declared “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  In the old testament sin was only covered by the sacrifice of animal.  This was called propitiation or atonement. The blood of these animals could not remove sins altogether.  But Christ having come as a High Priest has accomplished an eternal redemption with an eternal effect!  Your sin has been taken away, purified, once and for all, be at peace!  Thank you Lord!

 

 

 

 

Our High Priest Today: Have you ever wondered what Christ is doing today?

Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus,

Hebrews 9:24 For Christ did not enter into a holy place made by hands, a figure of the true, but into heaven itself, to appear now before the face of God for us;

An Apostle is one who is a  sent one.  The top Apostle is the Lord Jesus Christ is was sent by God to us (John 8:29) for our salvation.  But as the High Priest he went back to God with us into God’s presence just as the High Priest Aaron in the old testament would bear the names of the children of Israel  before God in his presence.  Our real High Priest Today is Jesus!  Have you ever wondered what the Lord is doing right now?  He is ministering as the High Priest.  He now appears before the face of God for us; to intercede on our behalf.  That we would be brought on to maturity, saved from the world, that we would love him, turn to him every day, read his word, seek him, and when we sin ( 1 John 2:1) He is our advocate to plead our case before God based upon his excellent redemption!  What a High Priest!

 

Our Solid Standing in the Redemption of Christ

Christ has offered himself without blemish to God once and for all through the eternal Spirit.  Making it have an eternal effect!  That means every sin that you have committed, are committing, or will commit is covered by the eternal efficacious blood of Christ.  We have a solid standing to continually come forward to God based upon his eternal redemption!

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time to those who eagerly await Him, apart from sin, unto salvation.

Thank you Lord for offering yourself up for our sins!

 

The Eternal Redemption of Christ

Hebrews 9:11  But Christ, having come as a High Priest of the good things that have come into being, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not of this creation,

12 And not through the blood of goats and calves but through His own blood, entered once for all into the Holy of  Holies, obtaining an eternal redemption.

Wow, Christ is our High priest!  This High Priest offered not the blood of other creatures but his own blood, entered into the Holy of holies and obtained an ETERNAL REDEMPTION.  That means that the effectiveness of Christ’s redemption is eternal.  It not only spans time but extends beyond the realm of time into eternity.  Wowsers!
